CLARKSVILLE, TN. (Jan. 18, 2018) – After snow and ice delays, Urgent Team, one of the Southeast’s largest independent operators of urgent and family care centers, has finally opened in Clarksville at 1690 Fort Campbell Blvd. in front of Walmart.

This new urgent care center provides urgent and family care, as well as wellness services, on a walk-in basis. The center treats pain and conditions that are non-life threatening. With no appointment needed and open seven days a week, Urgent Team treats a variety of medical conditions and needs, including:

  • Asthma and allergies
  • Bites, stings, allergic reactions
  • Diarrhea, nausea and vomiting
  • Ear and Eye injuries
  • Burns, Immunizations and vaccinations
  • Flu, colds and viral illnesses
  • Sprains, strains, broken bones
  • Urinary tract infections
  • Skin conditions
  • School, sports and wellness physicals
  • Occupational Health services

The Urgent Team Family of Centers provide quality and affordable family healthcare in 36 locations throughout Tennessee, Alabama, Arkansas, and Mississippi.

“Clarksville and the Fort Campbell area continue to be a fast-growing community and providing convenient and affordable care for urgent but non-emergency needs is a primary focus we are intent on providing,” said Urgent Team CEO and Chairman Tom Dent. “Urgent care is quicker and less expensive than an emergency room for receiving treatment for pain or conditions that are nonlife-threatening.”

Leading the healthcare team are Physician Assistant Rebecca Stewart, and Nurse Practitioner Mary DeSimone Gluff. Stewart comes to Urgent Team Clarksville after serving at Tri-County Family Medicine and Urgent Care in Camden, Tennessee. She earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (as well as her bachelor’s degree) at Bethel University in Paris, Tennessee. She has completed rotations in three family practices and one in pediatrics, and has volunteered as a medical provider on medical missions, as well as with hospice.

Gluff joins the center after serving as a family nurse practitioner at the Bell Clinic in Elkton, Kentucky. She also has experience in the emergency room and as a flight nurse. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana after earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Murray State University in Kentucky.

The Clarksville location is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday 1 to 5 p.m. Most insurance plans, including TRICARE, Medicare and Medicaid, as well as cash and credit cards, are accepted. New patients can pre-register online.
