(Oct. 20, 2014) Urgent Team, located at 2395 Lake Road, is pleased to announce Laura Wallace, APN, has joined the urgent and family care center.
“Laura is a very passionate medical professional who is completely committed to giving each of her patients the best possible care,” said Beth Mayberry, Area Manager at Urgent Team Dyersburg. “We are thrilled to have Laura join the Dyersburg Center, her experience with patients of all ages will be an asset to the team.”
Having practiced medicine for over 30 years, Wallace comes to Urgent Team most recently from Care Rite in Ripley, Tenn. where she served as a primary care provider.
“As a Dyersburg resident, I am excited to join a team of experienced professionals that are so dedicated to serving the community with the highest quality care,” said Wallace.
Wallace earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Central Methodist University in Fayette, Mo. and her Master of Science in Nursing from University of Missouri – St. Louis College of Nursing in St. Louis, Mo.
She has previous experience as a primary care provider and an RN in pediatics, adult, women’s health, geriatrics and emergency care. During her time as an RN early in her career, Wallace also served as a mentor to nursing students.
Located beside Los Portales, Urgent Team is open seven days a week, seeing patients Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., on Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. No appointment is necessary and the center accepts most insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. The urgent and family care center also offers online patient registration so patients don’t have to complete paperwork when they visit.
