Urgent Team Family of Urgent Care and Walk-in Centers Appoints New Chief Medical Officer

NASHVILLE, Tenn., (Sept. 1, 2020) Urgent Team Family of Urgent Care and Walk-in Centers has named Matthew Browning, M.D. to serve as Chief Medical Officer.

Browning will lead and oversee all clinical operations aspects of the company.  He will examine clinical operations to ensure workflow processes are in place to address competencies to improve efficiency and maintain the highest standards and compliance with regulatory requirements, while continuing to provide an exceptional patient experience.

With a strong commitment to a patient-first approach, Browning understands every patient deserves quality care. His vision for providing quality and affordable family and urgent care is a primary reason he aligned his hometown practice in Springfield, Tennessee with Urgent Team in 2013.

Browning graduated cum laude from Samford University and completed his medical education at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. He accomplished both his residency (family medicine) and his fellowship (advanced women’s care) at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.

With a passion for philanthropy, he gives much of his free time to serve on international medical mission trips in Haiti and the Dominican Republic, as well as domestically in remote areas with limited medical support. Browning is board certified in Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. In addition, he has been voted Robertson County’s “Best Family Physician” for six years and counting.
