Sherwood Urgent Care Opens Center in Hot Springs

HOT SPRINGS, Ark., (August 27, 2018) Sherwood Urgent Care – Hot Springs is now open at 201 Airport Rd., next to Big Lots.

Now with nine centers in Arkansas, Sherwood Urgent Care provides urgent and family care, as well as wellness services, on a walk-in basis. The centers treat pain and illnesses that are emergent but non-life threatening. Patients are seen for a variety of medical conditions, including:

  • Asthma and allergies
  • Bites, stings, allergic reactions
  • Diarrhea, nausea and vomiting
  • Ear and eye injuries
  • Burns, immunizations and vaccinations
  • Flu, colds and viral illnesses
  • Sprains, strains, broken bones
  • Urinary tract infections
  • Skin conditions
  • School, sports and wellness physicals
  • Occupational Health services

Leading the healthcare team is Pamela Bates APRN, FNP-BC. Bates received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock and was most recently a provider at Baptist Health Urgent Care in Benton. She served as a Registered Nurse at Hot Springs Dialysis for the last 20 years, where she was responsible for developing patient care plans and education; phlebotomy; referring transplants; and patient triage.

The new Hot Springs center is open seven days a week: Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday 1 to 6 p.m. Most insurance plans, including TRICARE, Medicare and Medicaid, as well as cash and credit card, are accepted.
