HOOVER, GA., (January 5, 2023) – Physicians Care Walk-in Urgent Care is set to open two clinics in late March in Hoover North (across from Ellis Piano) and in Hoover South (across from Southgate Village).
Currently, with 10 walk-in urgent care clinics in Tennessee and Georgia, the company is eager to expand into Alabama. “We are delighted to have the opportunity to serve the on-demand healthcare needs of the Hoover community seven days a week,” said Ellis Harris, Physicians Care division vice president. “Our goal is to meet and exceed the increasing need for quality care delivered in a convenient location at an affordable price.”
Physicians Care will provide urgent care, family care, wellness services, and occupational health services on a walk-in basis. Healthcare staff will treat patients with medical needs, such as:

- Flu, colds, viral illnesses, and COVID-19 testing
- Skin conditions, including burns
- Bites, stings, allergic reactions
- Stitches
- Broken bones, sprains, strains
- School, sports, wellness, and DOT physicals
- Diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting
- Immunizations and vaccinations
- Urinary tract infections
- Occupational Heal services
The centers will be open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.; Saturday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.; and Sunday 1 – 5 p.m. Most insurance plans, TRICARE and VA, Medicare and Medicaid, as well as cash and credit cards, are accepted.
