Fort Oglethorpe, GA, (November 20, 2019) – Physicians Care opens its first center in Georgia today at 400 Battlefield Parkway, next to MurMaid Mattress. This will be the ninth Physicians Care in the greater Chattanooga area, joining locations in Chattanooga (Hwy. 58, NorthShore, Hamilton Place), Cleveland, Dayton, East Ridge, Hixson and South Pittsburgh.

Leading the healthcare team is nurse practitioner Shannon Shuler who will transfer from the Hamilton Place Physicians Care location. He graduated from North Georgia College and State University in Dahlonega, Georgia with a Master of Science in Nursing. Prior to joining Physicians Care, he served for more than 10 years at Northeast Georgia Physicians Group in Toccoa, first as a nurse practitioner at the MedAccess after-hours center and most recently as a family nurse practitioner for the Family Medicine Practice.
The center is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Most insurance plans, TRICARE and VA, Medicare and Medicaid, as well as cash and credit cards, are accepted.
