COOKEVILLE, TN. (December 3, 2018) – Urgent Team, one of the largest independent operators of urgent and family care centers in the Southeast, has opened a new center at 650 S. Jefferson Ave., across from Big Lots.
Urgent Team – Cookeville will be open seven days a week and will provide urgent and family care, and wellness and occupational health services on a walk-in basis. With no appointment needed and X-ray available, Urgent Team will treat patients with medical needs, such as:

Leading the healthcare team are full-time Physician Assistant Wayne Durbin, and part-time Physician Assistants Whitney Gravelle and Caitlin Locke. Durbin has more than 20 years of experience, most recently working at Walk In Clinic of Sparta. He’s also worked in specialty medical centers in Missouri, Memphis and South Carolina. He received Physician Assistant Certification at University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Gravelle formerly worked as a Physician Assistant at Satellite Med. She earned a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Trevecca Nazarene University. Locke most recently worked on the medical team at Fast Pace Urgent Care. She earned a Master of Medical Science from Lincoln Memorial University.
Urgent Team – Cookeville is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The center accepts most insurance, including Medicare, Medicaid, and TRICARE and new patients can pre-register online.
