New Urgent Team Center Opens in East Nashville/Inglewood

Nashville, Tenn., (March 20, 2018) – Urgent Team, one of the largest independent operators of urgent and family care centers in the Southeast, has opened a new center in the East Nashville/Inglewood area. The urgent care center is located at 3024 Gallatin Pike at the corner of Gallatin Pike and McGavock Pike.

Urgent Team provides urgent and family care, as well as wellness services, on a walk-in basis. The center treats pain and conditions that are non-life threatening. With no appointment needed and open seven days a week, Urgent Team treats a variety of medical conditions and needs, including:

  • Bites, stings, allergic reactions
  • Diarrhea, nausea and vomiting
  • Ear and Eye injuries
  • Burns, immunizations and vaccinations
  • Flu, colds and viral illnesses

Leading the healthcare team are Family Nurse Practitioner Megan Polson and Physician Assistant Keith McCord. Polson moved to the area last year, and was practicing at Heritage Medical & Associates. She previously lived in the Chicago area, where she was a registered nurse in Labor and Delivery at Rush University Medical Center. She earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Rush University.

McCord returns to Nashville, after spending the last six years at Desert Valley Medical Center in Victorville, CA and HAAS Spine and Orthopaedics in Los Angeles. Fluent in Spanish, his previous experience includes serving as a Spanish Medical Interpreter with Siloam Family Health Clinic, as well as positions in neuromuscular and physical therapy in Nashville. He earned his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Bethel University in McKenzie, TN.

Urgent Team – Nashville is open Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.; and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Most insurance plans, including TRICARE, Medicare and Medicaid, as well as cash and credit cards, are accepted. New patients can pre-register online.
