Nashville, TN (September 2, 2014) – Urgent Team, one of the largest and fastest-growing independent operators of urgent care centers in the Southeast, is pleased to announce Lisa Smallwood, ANP-BC is now providing dermatology services at the Murfreesboro Center located at 2445 Memorial Boulevard.
We are so excited to be extending our offering of services at the Murfreesboro Center,” said Mindy Street, Area Manager for Urgent Team. “Lisa is a highly qualified provider with experience in dermatology as well as urgent care, and her expertise will help us to continue our mission of exceptional patient care.
The Murfreesboro Center will provide dermatology services including: biopsies, liquid nitrogen and nail, mole and skin tag removal. Smallwood will also see patients for skin and nail disorders including rosacea, shingles, warts, allergic contact rashes, psoriasis, poison ivy/oak/sumac and more. She will see patients for dermatology services on Wednesdays, by appointment only.
Smallwood has over 25 years of experience in dermatology. Prior to working in urgent care she worked for Dermatologist, David Horowitz, M.D. in Nashville, Tenn. Smallwood has been a member of the Dermatology Nurses’ Association including President, Vice President and Secretary of the Middle Tennessee chapter. She has also continued her education by attending the annual Academy of Dermatology meetings.

Located across from Sports*Com, the urgent and family care center is open seven days a week, seeing patients Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., on Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. No appointment is necessary except to be seen for dermatology services and the center accepts most insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid.
