LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Dec. 3, 2018) – Baptist Health continues to expand access to health care with the opening of its sixth urgent care center. The new center is located at 6805 Cantrell Road in Little Rock, by Steinmart.
The urgent care center opened Monday, Dec. 3, and treats pain and conditions that are non-life threatening. With no appointment needed, patients are seen on a walk-in basis for a variety of medical needs including:

Baptist Health, in a joint venture with Urgent Team, one of the Southeast’s largest independent operators of urgent and family care centers, currently has urgent care centers in North Little Rock, Jacksonville and Cabot, Bryant and Benton.

Leading the Little Rock health care team are Nurse Practitioners Pamela Speed and Joshua Rowland. Speed has more than 25 years of nursing experience in rural health, and most recently served on the medical team at Sherwood Urgent Care in Searcy. Rowland transferred from the Baptist Health Urgent Care clinic in Bryant where he has been on staff for the past year.
Baptist Health’s continuing expansion into urgent care provides patients access to care, as well as supports Baptist Health physicians who want to provide an after-hours and weekend option for their patients. While an individual’s primary care provider should be the first choice since the physicians know the patient’s entire medical history, sometimes immediate care is needed. Urgent care is also quicker and less expensive than an emergency room for receiving care for pain or conditions that are not life-threatening.
Baptist Health Urgent Care-Little Rock is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Most insurance plans, including TRICARE, Medicare and Medicaid, as well as cash and credit card are accepted.
