(April 7, 2016) Urgent Team is proud to announce nurse practitioner Chris Walker has joined its urgent care center in Tupelo, Mississippi.
Walker has previous experience in both urgent care and emergency department settings. He most recently served as an emergency nurse practitioner in Tupelo.
Walker earned a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Mississippi State University in Tupelo and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. He went on to earn a master’s degree in nursing from Samford University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice, Executive Leadership degree from Chamberlain College of Nursing in Downers Grove, Illinois.
Over the past several years, Walker has been involved in many leadership roles, as well as volunteer and humanitarian work including co-founding a non-profit humanitarian/mission organization by the name of Global Connexx. He is also a member of numerous professional organizations including the American Academy of Emergency Nurse Practitioners; Mississippi Association of Nurse Practitioners; Emergency Nurses Association; American Association of Nurse Practitioners; and Nurses Christian Fellowship.

Urgent Team’s Tupelo, Mississippi urgent care center is located behind Cracker Barrel and next to Home Depot at 1154 Cross Creek Drive Saltillo, MS 38866. The facility provides walk-in services for urgent and family care needs seven days a week.
