John W. Reel is an accomplished healthcare executive with more than 20 years of experience in finance, operations, implementation, and strategic planning. Throughout his career, he has led initiatives across a broad range of healthcare settings, including outpatient surgery centers, inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, and outpatient rehabilitation services, consistently driving operational excellence, financial performance, and strategic growth.
Reel joined Urgent Team in 2017 and has played an integral role in the organization’s growth ever since, advancing its financial strategy and operational capabilities while supporting its commitment to exceptional, patient-centered care. He was named Chief Financial Officer in 2026, after serving as Senior Vice President of Financial Operations for two years.
He has extensive experience developing and managing joint venture partnerships with short-term acute care hospitals and physician groups, helping organizations strengthen collaboration, improve operational performance, and expand access to high-quality patient care.
A Certified Public Accountant, Reel earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Tennessee Tech University and a master’s degree in accounting from Belmont University.
Outside of work, he values spending time with his family and believes that maintaining a healthy balance between professional leadership and personal life is essential to long-term success.
