Meet Tullahoma’s Newest Nurse Practitioner, Jan Sparks

Urgent Team is proud to welcome Jan Sparks, a nurse practitioner with more than 17 years’ experience.

Q: What do you like most about being a nurse practitioner?

A: I love being able to help people on many levels and serve others that way. My patients inspire me daily.

Q: What is your philosophy for patient care?

A: I’ve always been a people person. I truly listen to my patients, and along with treating the issue they come in for, I take time to get to know the patient as a person.

Q: What excites you about providing care in Tullahoma?

A: I have worked in Tullahoma in the past and really enjoy the members of this community. I’m excited to be back. Also, my daughter Meagan McManus works at Motlow State Community College as an educator, so it’s nice to have another connection to the community through her affiliation. I certainly look forward to offering healthcare assistance to the Motlow students, faculty and staff, as well as the residents of the area. Everyone in Tullahoma is so friendly!

Q: What is one thing you would like to share with your patients?

A: I want my patients to know that the entire staff at Urgent Team—myself included—are here to care for their medical needs to the very best of our abilities.
