Meet Our Nurse Practitioners

Our nurse practitioners, both from Russellville, are thrilled to be providing care in their hometown. Learn more about Sarah and Erin.

Nurse Practitioner Sarah Baxley

Q. What do you like most about being a nurse practitioner?

A. I love the philanthropic nature and autonomy that being a nurse practitioner offers. I’m grateful for the opportunity to offer my community more reasonably-priced and accessible healthcare.

Q. What is one thing you would like to share with your patients?

A. I believe in treating each patient as an individual. When patients come into Sherwood Urgent Care, they will be treated with the respect. I think this is necessary to cultivate a meaningful patient-provider relationship. I want my patients to feel empowered to take an active role in their healthcare.

Q. You grew up in Russellville, went away for your education and returned to Russellville to work. What excites you about providing care in your hometown community?

A. I knew, even while receiving my education at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, I would one day return to my hometown. I loved growing up in a town where people genuinely look after one another and care about one another’s well-being; a place where your friends and family don’t hesitate to lend a helping hand. I am so honored and excited to have the opportunity to pay that forward to the people of our community.

Q. What do you like most about being a nurse practitioner?

A. My favorite thing about being a nurse practitioner is helping people. I love helping people feel better and live fuller lives. It’s really rewarding to see someone you have worked with over a period of time beat an illness, or to have him or her stop by to say thank you.

Q. What is one thing you would like to share with your patients?

A. Our door is always open.

Q. You grew up in Russellville, went away for your education and returned to Russellville to work. What excites you about providing care in your hometown community?

A. I’m actually a Russellville grad. I went to Arkansas Tech for my undergrad and completed my MSN online. I love providing care in here because this is home. I love being available when someone needs help since this is a walk-in clinic. It’s also a great opportunity to
