(Jan. 26, 2016) Urgent Team in West Point is pleased to welcome longtime Golden Triangle resident, Amanda Fondren to the Urgent Team family. She is the newest nurse practitioner to join the team at the West Point location.
Fondren earned an associate degree of nursing from Bevill State Community College in Fayette, Alabama, a bachelor’s degree in nursing from South University and a master’s degree in nursing from Mississippi University for Women in Columbus.
Amanda most recently worked as a nurse practitioner at Caledonia Medical Care in Caledonia where she provided acute and chronic primary care to all ages. She has a variety of experiences at numerous healthcare facilities in Mississippi, Tennessee and Alabama.
She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Mississippi Nurses Association. In the past she has participated in several committees in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, including Critical Care Shared Governance Board, Infection Prevention Tracking Committee and the Preceptor Program at the University of Alabama.
